Perfect for those new to photography, students will learn how to capture stunning images and develop their creative eye. Feel free to bring your own camera, or use one of ours!
Collaborative Creators: Scriptwriting
This course serves as a launchpad for young creators to discover their unique creative voices through the lens of professional screenwriting. We will move beyond basic concepts to help you master the visual and technical language of industry-standard storytelling. This includes narrative structure, character development, formatting and scene dynamics. To mirror professional industry standards, we will utilize WriterDuet as our shared digital workspace. This platform allows for collaborative playwriting and cloud based sharing.
Filming Foundations 1

Lights on, cameras rolling! This beginner-friendly class is all about learning how films are made-by actually making them. Students will shoot with 4K cameras, work with professional lighting, and film in and around our studio while learning the basics of camera movement, storytelling and visual style. In edit sessions, students will cut their projects using Adobe Premiere Pro and see how footage turns into a finished film. Perfect for teens who love movies, YouTube, or TikTok and want to level up their creative skills behind the camera.
Script to Screen
A hands-on course where students collaborate in small groups to plan, write, and shoot 2 short films, developing skills in cinematography, directing, and production management. We’ll also produce several short projects between each film and explore shoot to edit scenarios and hand held camera movement techniques. Each student will then edit their own version of the project independently, refining their storytelling techniques and post-production abilities. The course emphasizes creative decision-making, technical proficiency, and teamwork while allowing for individual artistic expression in the editing process.
